Why do many silicone products on the market have a chemical smell?

What are these chemical smells?

These odors are caused by residual vulcanizing agents.

If the vulcanizing agent does not react completely, there will be vulcanizing agent residue, resulting in a chemical smell.

There are two general processing methods.

1- Use better vulcanizing agents to avoid vulcanizing agent residues

2- Carry out secondary vulcanization and react the remaining vulcanizing agent for a second time, which can remove the remaining vulcanizing agent.
